I'm Mary Ann Gilfillan, the creative mind behind Altered Life Photography…

My photography passion revolves around capturing the enchanting beauty of nature, mesmerizing landscapes, and exquisite flowers. While I first explored photography during my college days, it wasn't until 2016 that I fully embraced it, becoming an ardent shutterbug.

My photography journey has taken me from the vibrant streets of Chicago to the serene landscapes of East Tennessee, where my love for photography has blossomed. I currently call Crossville, Tennessee, my home, where I draw inspiration from the captivating surroundings.

My photographic masterpieces have graced the walls of various exhibitions and galleries, including the prestigious Fairfield Glade Art Guild, the dynamic a1ArtLab in Knoxville, the esteemed Knoxville Arts Cultural Alliance, and the dedicated Sweetwater Valley Citizens for

Arts. Additionally, you can adorn your walls with my captivating works, found at the Grinder House in Crossville and the Cookeville Art Studio in Cookeville.

For those looking to bring the magic of my photography into their lives, you can find my artwork available for purchase at the Dogwood Exchange in Crossville and Restored & Co in Livingston. My unwavering commitment to the craft has also earned recognition in the photography world, with my work featured in renowned publications like Dragonfly Photography Magazine, Stellar Exposure Magazine, Memorable Moments Magazine, ENVYD Magazine, Color Shot Magazine, and Snap'd Magazine.

Notably, my work received an honorable mention in the 7th Annual Animal Kingdom Art Exhibition by Fusion Art, on display at Grinder House Coffee Shop, and in 2023 one of my photographs has been selected for inclusion in the Spring Arts in the Airport exhibition at Tyson McGhee Airport in Knoxville.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation for your interest in my photographic journey. My goal is to continue crafting imagery that inspires and resonates with all who encounter it.
